History of Custom Computer Systems

Custom Computer Systems was founded in 1996 by two local residents, David Anderson and James Navarre. The business was initially run from David`s home in Latrobe, but by the summer of ‘97, James had left the company after receiving a job offer from Mellon Bank that he could not turn down. Since that time, David has been the sole proprietor of the company.

While other local companies were concerned only with larger business contracts, Custom Computer Systems knew there was a market for the home and small business customers. No job is too small when you are helping your neighbors in the community.

With our great service, quick turnaround and low prices, customers started telling their friends, family and neighbors about us. We are proud of the fact that over 75% of our business is from customer referrals.

Custom Computer Systems grew quickly, and by 2000 David knew he could not handle all of the work alone. He hired James Sherbine in 2000, Dan Kepple in 2001 and Scott Mason in 2003.

The growth of the business created a need for a larger and more modern work place. In January of 2005, David purchased property at 1306 Jefferson Street in Latrobe. Custom Computer Systems moved into its new location on June 6th, 2005.
